A Walk on the 'Hoopee River Sand Ridge

I decided to take a little walk on the sand ridge yesterday with my 50mm lens, just focusing on the little things around me that make this place so beautiful this time of year. The deep reds and oranges of the turkey oaks

The flowers which once were colorful a few months ago, have now made fluffy seed heads ready to be dispersed by breezy fall weather to begin life anew in the spring.

The deep imprint of a rather large deer...which makes me want to put down this camera, pick up my rifle, and head for my deer stand :)
